Westerra

Westerra is one of Regina's newest communities, located between Courtney Street and Pinkie Road and extending from Dewdney Avenue south to the Canadian Pacific Rail line.

Westerra is the first neighbourhood to be based on Design Regina — the Official Community Plan designed to manage Regina's growth and set the stage for its long-term development. The section of the plan dealing with Westerra can be downloaded at this link.

With future plans for the inclusion of retail outlets and a business district, the community currently includes single and multi-family dwellings as well as two parks.

Sereda Park is a neighbourhood park and family playground named for Michele Sereda, a well-known member of the Saskatchewan arts community who died in a car accident in 2015. Sharp Park, named for the late entrepreneur Jack Sharp, is Regina's first purpose-built cricket pitch designed for players and spectators.
